Client The Cloud Foundation Photographer Vivian Law The Cloud Foundation is about the process of at-risk children realizing their dreams through the arts. The concept was to create a sign system that reminds the user of being a child, lying on the grass, and looking up to the bright blue sky to see the clouds…imagining the possibilities. The challenge was finding materials that felt cloud-like, semi-opaque but not transparent, light, and fluffy. Jury Comment "The jurors commended this project for its restrained but sophisticated typography. It is a well-considered solution that expands the possibilities of what is obviously a low-budget project. It is tactile, with materials that are semi-transparent, referencing the name of the foundation."
