Exhibition & Experience Design Symposium

Held annually since 2004, SEGD's Exhibition & Experience Design Symposium explores new directions in exhibition, interpretive, and experience design.

Museum and corporate leaders, academics, technology developers, and designers gather for a dynamic, collaborative event focused on new design processes, methodologies, and technologies. Past symposia have focused on such diverse topics as innovation, interactivity, placemaking, and global design practice.

Multi-disciplinary collaboration is one of the major forces driving design experiences today. The most successful projects are created by multi-disciplined, innovative co-conspirators working together toward a unified purpose: to elevate the user experience.

The Art of Collaboration, SEGD's 2012 Exhibition & Experience Design Symposium, will explore the impact of collaboration on design processes and outcomes.

The symposium will gather exhibition and experience designers, media software developers, graphic artists, architects, fabricators, clients, educators, and students for a focused dialogue on how collaborations work, why they sometimes fail, and how members of design teams can best work together to create successful, compelling experiences.

Continuing its long history of focusing on Exhibition & Experience Design, SEGD will host the 2012 symposium October 4-5 in Raleigh, N.C., on the campus of the NC State University College of Design.

Thank you to our sponsors: 1220 Exhibits (Lead Sponsor), Color-Ad Signs and Exhibits (Sponsor), and Electrosonic (Patron).
