Salt Lake City Design Week
(11.14.2011) Salt Lake Design Week kicked off today, with environmental graphics and SEGD a big part of the week's events. Daily workshops at The Leonardo, Salt Lake City's new Sci+Tech+Art museum, will combine with fun events like tonight's Pixels of Fury design competition.
Wednesday night, Nov. 16, SEGD President-Elect Amy Lukas, partner at Infinite Scale (SLC), will welcome SEGD Fellow Richard Poulin as guest speaker at the first-ever SEGD event in Salt Lake City.
The design week festivities coincide with the opening of two new museums. The Natural History Museum of Utah and The Leonardo feature work by SEGD member firms including Infinite Scale, Ralph Appelbaum Associates, and Poulin + Morris. Infinite Scale created the identity as well as the community wall campaign and design for the natural history museum. Appelbaum completed exhibition design for the NHMU, while Poulin + Morris created the wayfinding and signage program. Infinite Scale created environmental graphics, wayfinding, and donor recognition for The Leo.
